Tour Plan

Leaving Fez early in the morning, you'll traverse the Middle Atlas Mountains on your way to Ifrane, a winter ski resort created by the French in the 1930s to seem like a Swiss hamlet, where you may observe monkeys in the cedar forests of Azrou. As you make your way down from the Atlas Mountains into the Sahara Desert, you'll spend most of the day threading your way through picturesque woods, springs, jagged rock faces, and Berber settlements. The journey's midpoint is the town of Midelt, known for its abundance of fossils and rocks; after lunch there, we'll keep going until we reach Merzouga, where we'll stop for dinner to listen to traditional Saharan music and spend the night in a kasbah.

Khamsa is a small village located about 12 kilometers southwest of Essaouira, Morocco. It's known for its vibrant Gnaoua music scene, which is a traditional Moroccan musical genre with roots in Sub-Saharan Africa. Here's a brief overview of what you can expect when visiting Khamsa Village: Gnaoua Music: Khamsa Village is famous for its Gnaoua music, which is characterized by hypnotic rhythms, chanting, and dancing.
