Tour Plan
The first step of our two-day Fes Desert Tours is to pick you up from your Fes hotel or riad, after which we'll travel through the stunning Middle Atlas Mountains and onto to the desert.
As we go toward Ifrane, sometimes known as "The Moroccan Little Switzerland," we'll first stop in the city of Immouzer. Our guides will show you around this charming city built in the French style so you can take in the pleasant climate and unique architecture.
We'll be heading to Azrou next, where we can take in some fresh air and play with those cheeky young monkeys while learning about the region's rich Berber heritage. We're going to keep going to Midlet, the Berber town of Rocks, so you can have some authentic Berber Tagine for lunch and learn more about the fascinating history of the Berber people.
As a last stop, we make our way to Merzouga, often known as the "Golden Gate of the Sahara," where we'll saddle up our camels for a breathtaking Trek across the desert landscape to take in the mystical dawn and stunning calm of the great Sahara. We'll set up camp in the middle of the winding sand dunes for the night, where we'll have a campfire and watch a Berber folklore performance under a dazzling starry sky.
On the final day of Fes Desert Tours 2 Days, we will have an early wake-up, to appreciate the stunning dawn and the golden dunes of an unending Sahara. At that point, we'll go back to our Merzouga hotel for some breakfast and a hot shower. We'll show you around the vibrant Souks and historical culture of Rissani, the birthplace of the ruling family in Morocco, on our way from Merzouga. we continue on our Sahara Tour towards Fes, stopping to take in the sights of the Ziz Gorges along route. Following lunch in a traditional Berber settlement, we'll go out for a drive among the towering cliffs and delightful cool environment of the Middle Atlas Mountains. At the conclusion of our Fes Desert Tours 2 Days, we will drive you back to your Hotel/Riad in Fes, to have some relaxation.
