A secluded desert camp located east of the towering Erg Chigaga dunes, where civilization is a two-hour drive away along a rugged dirt road. Guests at this exclusive Nomadic camp can either combine their stay with a customized guided tour of Morocco or embark on a self-guided adventure across the country

Nestled amid protective dunes, this exclusive private desert camp offers ample space for up to nine guests across four spacious tents, making it an ideal retreat for families, groups of friends, or any large party looking to unwind in luxury and comfort. With no other campers in sight, the camp guarantees a secluded and tranquil experience. Guests have the freedom to set up hammocks and pillows throughout the area, while the largest dune nearby serves as the perfect vantage point for witnessing stunning sunsets and sunrises—integral parts of the desert experience.

Your exclusive nomadic desert camp is fully equipped for a luxurious night beneath the stars in a tranquil setting, complete with your own dedicated butler.

Each tent features private bathrooms and is furnished with king or single beds, high-quality mattresses, plush linens, and stylish rugs and carpets, along with shower facilities, washstands, and toilets.

We offer a variety of activities both in and around the camp, including hiking, camel treks, wild lunches, sandboarding, sunset viewing with chilled beverages, nightly music by the campfire, and stargazing through a telescope. During guided camel excursions and desert hikes, a sumptuous three-course lunch is served under the shade of Tamarisk trees. Daily trekking typically averages about two hours but can be adjusted to suit your preferences.

Your stay includes all meals, beverages (including alcoholic options), and entertainment. Please note that transfers to and from Marrakech or Ouarzazate incur an additional charge.

Berber desert camping – Camp AL ADINE

After breakfast, depart from Marrakech and embark on a scenic drive to the Dades Valley. As you journey across the High Atlas Mountains, you will traverse the highest main road pass in Morocco, reaching an elevation of 2,260 meters. Along the route, take in breathtaking views of lush valleys and traditional adobe Berber villages. Following the Dades River north of Ouarzazate, you’ll enter the renowned “path of a thousand kasbahs.” The Dades River flows past Boumalne Dades through a verdant valley dotted with ancient kasbahs perched atop cliffs and surrounded by unusual rock formations. As the river carves through the narrowing basin, you’ll discover the impressive Dades Gorge. Spend the night at a charming inn nestled in the valley.

The next morning, follow the Todra Gorge from the Dades Valley to Zagora. This striking canyon, sculpted by the Todra River, cuts deeply into the Atlas Mountains. Enjoy an opportunity to stretch your legs and take in the awe-inspiring landscape. After lunch, continue your journey to Zagora, passing through the rugged Anti-Atlas range of Jebel Saghro, a dramatic volcanic mountain range, until you reach the magnificent Draa River Valley. The Draa, Morocco’s longest river, is lined with vast palm groves and centuries-old kasbahs. In Zagora, spend the night at a tranquil guesthouse situated amidst a lush palm oasis on the edge of the Sahara.

From Zagora, head towards the majestic Erg Chigaga dunes. En route, pass through the historic towns of Tamegroute and M’hamid El Ghezlane, where you’ll leave behind the paved roads after lunch and venture deep into the desert. By late afternoon, arrive at Camp AL ADINE, a luxurious Berber camp nestled near the dunes. Enjoy camel trekking, relax in the serene surroundings, or hike the nearby dunes—located just 50 minutes from the largest dunes in the area. As the evening unfolds, unwind by the campfire after a traditional Moroccan dinner, and enjoy the mesmerizing desert sunset

Each tent at Camp AL ADINE is furnished with a comfortable bed and linens, and nearby you’ll find shared bathroom facilities, including a shower house. After dinner, gather around the campfire with the crew as they sing camp songs and perform traditional music, adding a special touch to your desert experience.

In the morning, enjoy a peaceful breakfast as the sun rises over the desert, casting a golden glow on the dunes. After breakfast, break camp and begin your journey out of the desert, retracing the route you took to arrive. Embark on a three-hour off-road adventure into the remote desert landscapes northwest of Foum Zguid. Along the way, you’ll pass some of Morocco’s most stunning hidden scenery, including the expansive salt flats of Lake Iriqui and the impressive mountain ridges of the Jebel Bani in the Anti-Atlas range. From Foum Zguid, continue through Tazenakht, and travel along the edge of the Anti-Atlas, with views of the Jebel Sirwa to the west.

Your next destination is the picturesque Ounila Valley, home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou. Spend the night in the nearby Berber village of Tamdaght, staying at a charming guesthouse set within a restored kasbah.

In the morning, there’s an option to join the local community in making traditional bread before breakfast. After breakfast, retrace your journey through the High Atlas Mountains, stopping to explore the Telouet Kasbah and the scenic Ounila Valley. Cross the Tichka Pass once again, descending into the Marrakech plains beyond Telouet. You should expect to arrive in Marrakech by midday.
