Tour Plan
We'll be driving through the cedar forests and rocky mountains of the middle Atlas to reach Midelt in time for lunch. We go by Ifrane, a lovely ski resort, and Azrou, a major craft center that specializes in the use of cedar wood. Midelt is our lunch stop after over the Zad pass (2,178m), and the rest of the day will be spent driving through Errachidia and the Ziz valley on route to Erfoud. After that, we'll go to Erg Chebbi's sand dunes for some desert sightseeing. Merzouga hotel with dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, we will make the large turn of the dunes while passing by oases MERZOUGA, the village of KHAMLIA (village of the Gnaoua), mines of MIFISS, the plates desert with the meeting of the Berber nomads of the desert, oasis TISSARDMINE, and then we will return to the hotel for the departure of your camel caravan, and we will enjoy the sunset and spend the night in Berber tents in the middle of the dunes Bivouac for supper and the night's lodging.
After waking up early to see the dawn, the group will ride camels back to the hotel before heading to Rissani and Erfoud to see the marble plant fossils. After stopping for some time in the Touroug and Tinjdad palm plantations, we'll make our way to the Toudra gorges for lunch. This afternoon, we'll leave for the Dades Gorges from Boumalne and the Dades Valley. The plan is to stay at a hotel for the night and have dinner there.
After breakfast, we'll go back to the kasbah of Ait youl through the Dades valley, passing via Rose valley with its Kasbah and ksours and some stunning scenery on the way back to Kalla Mgouna. After eating, we'll go to the palm groves in Skoura and the Kasbah in Amredhyle in the afternoon. The rest of the evening will be spent at a hotel's restaurant and bed and breakfast.
Ouarzazate's Kasbah of Taourirt, Tifoultout, and the film studio are on the itinerary for the day after breakfast. Next, we'll get in the car and go to Ait Ben Haddou's famous Kasbah (under Unesco protection). Afterward, we go to Marrakech through the Tizi N'Ticha pass and check out the Kasbah and the old town. Our 5-day, 4-night desert adventure from Fes to Marrakech comes to a conclusion when we leave you off at your accommodation in Marrakech late in the afternoon or evening.
